TURNERS FALLS — The annual Summer Bazaar is returning to Peskeomskut Park for its second year, bringing in around 30 local vendors.

The bazaar, first held in August 2021, will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to featuring dozens of vendors, there will be a 50/50 raffle and a basket raffle of contributions from local businesses to support the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Regional Dog Shelter.

“I think it’s a great opportunity … and I love helping people,” organizer Dawn Hubbard said.

Vendors include a litany of craftspeople, including jewelers, potters and textile artists. Aside from the opportunity to support local businesses, the bazaar is also an opportunity to enjoy a nice day out on the town, Hubbard stressed.

“Since COVID, nobody does anything,” Hubbard said.

While Hubbard and her daughter and co-organizer Samantha Wessman solidify this year’s vendor list, sights are already set on the future.

“We’re hoping to get bigger and bigger every year,” Hubbard said.
