A recent letter writer here reported that Greenfield Garden Cinemas has been showing the film “2000 Mules,” produced by DineshD’Souza, which advances the myth that the 2020 election was stolen. D’Souza, it should be noted, was sentenced to five years of probation for illegal campaign contributions, but pardoned by Trump. He has been a promoter of wild conspiracy theories.
My question is: how did Garden Cinemas come to feature this particular film? Was it a deliberate choice by the theater owner or was it just something arranged by the theater’s chosen distributor? If it was the distributor, how was the distributor chosen?
Something is not right here.
