LEVERETT — An annual outdoor community festival featuring live music, food, games and an auction will return to the Leverett Village Co-op on Sunday.

Held for at least a quarter-century and paused by the pandemic, the Spring Fling will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at the 180 Rattlesnake Gutter Road site in the Moore’s Corner section of Leverett, with the event kicking off with music by Boys of the Landfill.

Samples from local vendors including Maple Mama Beverages, Artisan Beverage Cooperative and Cabot Cheese will be available.

Throughout the afternoon, there will be a cookout and lawn games for all ages. A BagShare project party will also take place so attendees can transform feed bags into reusable shopping bags.

The live auction will get underway at 3 p.m. with professional auctioneer and Leverett Co-op General Manager John Calhoun overseeing the sale of items, including framed original artwork, tickets for Tanglewood, a catering gift certificate for The Black Sheep Deli, and a gift certificate for a pottery class with Joy Friedman.

Proceeds from the auction and cookout benefit the co-op.
