WENDELL — A trash pickup on town roads is planned for April 19.
Anyone willing to participate can meet at the Town Offices at 9 Morse Village Road at 10 a.m. to receive trash bags. Roads will be selected at this time.
If Tuesday does not work for you but you would still like to help, you can pick up litter anytime from April 16 to April 19. Leaves full bags of trash safely off the road and inform organizers of the roads you have cleaned, so the bags can be collected at around noon on April 19. You can also bring filled trash bags to the Wendell Recycling and Transfer Station at 341 New Salem Road.
Inform organizers of large items (such as TVs and mattresses) so pickup can be arranged. Call Maggie at 978-544-7773 or Annie at 413-522-4453 with any questions or to notify them of what roads have been cleaned.
This pickup will be held in memory of Ted Lewis, who died in June 2021 and had been a partner in organizing the annual litter pickup.
