SHELBURNE FALLS — The Arms Academy all-class reunion, which normally occurs every five years in years ending in 5 and 0, has been re-scheduled for the second time due to the pandemic.
The belated 2020 reunion will occur June 25, 2022, according to a notice from Muriel A. Zraunig, president of the Arms Academy Alumni Association. Detailed information will be mailed to alumni in late February or March.
Arms Academy in Shelburne Falls graduated its last class in 1967, after which time students were sent to the new Mohawk Trail Regional School. Some Mohawk Trail graduates from the classes of 1968, ’69 and ’70 are also Arms Academy alumni, having started their high school years there. There are about 1,200 known alumni.
BUCKLAND — The Buckland Historical Society’s 2022 calendar of Robert Strong Woodward’s paintings, titled “New England Legacy,” is now available for $20.
This year’s theme, the New England barn, coincides with the Historical Society’s effort to raise money for the preservation of the Wilder Homestead’s 1779 English barn, according to a notice from Polly Anderson of the Historical Society. The barn needs structural assistance to assure its lasting future.
The calendars can be purchased: in Greenfield at Andy’s and The Oak Shoppe, 352 Deerfield St.; in Shelburne Falls at Boswell’s Books, 10 Bridge St., Sawyer News Co., 61 Bridge St., and Nancy L. Dole Books and Ephemera, 20 State St.; and in Buckland at the Buckland Public Library, 30 Upper St.

COLRAIN — Fiscal year 2022 real estate and personal property tax bills, as well as Colrain Fire District real estate and personal property tax bills, have been mailed. Payment is due Tuesday, Dec. 7.
Tax Collector Paula Harrison’s office hours are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents may also pay online at colrain-ma.gov/p/31/Tax-Collector.

The board of the Mohawk Trail Woodlands Partnership will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday via Zoom.
Guest speakers will include Jon Leibowitz of the Northeast Wilderness Trust and Robert Perschel of New England Forestry Foundation in a joint presentation, “Say Yes to Wilderness And Forestry.” According to a notice from Mohawk Trail Woodlands Partnership Administrative Agent Lisa Hayden, other items on the agenda will include an update on a stakeholder survey being conducted about the needs and potential uses for a Forest Center and discussion by the standing committees of priorities for an update to the 2015-2016 Partnership Plan.

The Mohawk Trail Woodlands Partnership is focused on forest and natural resource conservation, sustainable forestry, rural economic development and municipal financial stability.
