DEERFIELD — A two-vehicle accident on Interstate 91 northbound near mile marker 36.7 sent one person to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries on Saturday.
According to Massachusetts State Police spokesperson David Procopio, dispatchers received a call at 1:08 p.m. to respond to a crash involving a 2006 BMW X5 and a 2001 Toyota Tacoma.
The driver of the BMW, a 31-year-old woman from Westfield, was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton. Although her current condition is unknown, Procopio said any injuries sustained are not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver of the Toyota, a 52-year-old man from Gill, was uninjured.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, Procopio said. State Police expect more information to become available later in the week.
