There will also be an online forum with writing resources and a platform to post stories.

Selectboard considering solar PILOT agreement
ORANGE — Amid some unanswered questions last week, the Selectboard opted to table for two weeks the matter of signing a compensation agreement regarding an array at 180 West Orange Road.
Members were slated to sign a payment in lieu of taxes (PILOT) agreement with Standard Solar and its Orange Solar Fund project, but members had various questions they wanted answered by Town Counsel Donna MacNicol. Richard Sheridan wants to know what would happen if no electricity was generated due to equipment malfunction or another issue. Pat Lussier said she, for the same reason, wants to reword the proposed contract.
“We need to have assurances that someone is going to be paying taxes on that property, regardless. Regardless,” she said during Wednesday’s meeting.
Andrew Smith said the town’s Planning Board or Board of Assessors should have some say in the PILOT process.
The Selectboard will resume the discussion at its July 14 meeting.
WENDELL — Village Neighbors, a nonprofit that supports senior citizens in Wendell, New Salem, Leverett and Shutesbury, is hosting Doug Tanner and the Wranglers to play music on the Wendell town common from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on July 21.

The event’s rain date is July 22.
