The heat is on, and while most high school sporting events scheduled for Monday are still happening, the landscape has been altered a bit due to Mother Nature.
In response to the MIAA’s Heat Modification Policy, schools throughout the Recorder area have shifted their games and matches to later times Monday in order to avoid peak heat index times.
Athol’s volleyball match against Belchertown has been postponed and moved until Saturday, while Franklin Tech’s softball game against Smith Academy is also postponed.
