WARWICK — No candidates have come forward seeking election to moderator or to a seat on the Selectboard that will be on the May 17 ballot.

The town election will be have polling hours at Town Hall from noon to 4 p.m. Early voting will be available in person at Town Hall on May 3 and May 10, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Mail-in ballots may be requested through Town Clerk John Paganetti by emailing townclerk@town.warwick.ma.us, or by dropping off or mailing a physical note to Town Hall, 12 Athol Road, with your name and address. Mail-in ballots must be returned to Town Hall by the close of polling hours on May 17.

Nomination papers for candidates were due back to the Town Clerk’s Office by March 29. No candidates expressed a desire to run for Selectboard (three-year term) or moderator (one-year term). Those seats are being vacated by Selectboard Chair Lawrence “Doc” Pruyne and Moderator David Koester.

“There are currently write-in candidates running for Board of Health and Transfer Station commissioner, but I’m so far unaware of anyone running for selectman or moderator,” Paganetti said.

During a recent Selectboard meeting, Town Coordinator David Young noted that, unlike other positions, the Selectboard seat cannot be filled through appointment by the town moderator and must be filled through an election.

The candidates who filed nomination papers or are running write-in campaigns are as follows:

■Board of Health, three-year term: Nancy Lyman, write-in
