WARWICK — The second of two virtual workshops related to the town’s Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Plan will be held on Monday, March 8, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The series of virtual workshops are addressing residents’ experiences with climate-related threats, such as flooding, severe storms and extreme temperatures. These workshops are part of Warwick’s efforts to become a designated Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Community, and to update its Hazard Mitigation Plan. During the workshops, participants review the natural hazards impacting Warwick and how climate change interacts with these hazards; discuss responses gathered from stakeholder outreach; and brainstorm resiliency actions.
The workshops are held via Zoom. The link and additional information is posted on the Warwick town website, warwickma.org. For more information, contact Town Coordinator David Young at coordinator@town.warwick.ma.us or 978-729-3224.
