SHELBURNE — Write-in candidate Margaret Payne secured a three-year term on the Selectboard during Tuesday’s election.

Payne won the seat, which was vacated by Matt Marchese, with 193 votes, according to Town Clerk Joseph Judd.

There were no contests in the election, which took place in Cowell Gymnasium. A total of 314 ballots were cast.

Four other seats were won by write-in candidates: Roland Giguere, who secured a one-year position as moderator; Debra Washer, who secured a three-year term on the Shelburne Free Public Library Trustees; Diana Hardina, who secured a five-year position on the Recreation Committee; and Michael Barnes, who won a three-year term as constable.

■Mohawk Trail Regional School District School Committee, two-year term — Leah Maldonado
