Make no mistake about my feelings regarding the death of Mr. Floyd. It was a horrible tragedy, the causes of which should never have been permitted. Also make no mistake about my feelings about Mr. Derek Chauvin. He should never have been on the street with his record of abuse.

Note that Minneapolis has operated under Democratic administrations of one flavor or another since 1945 with the exception of four very short periods, 2 Independents and 2 Republicans. The totality of issues in that city can hardly be laid at the doorstep of the Republicans!

The “Blue” administrations should shoulder most of the blame for allowing Mr. Chauvin to remain “on the job” as should Ms. Klobuchar personally since she had the opportunity and should have prosecuted him.

That was a lovely drawing of murder victim Mr. Floyd, quarter page and all on the editorial page.

Chief Dorn’s murder was a also a tragedy. A man who by all accounts spent his life actually accomplishing good things for the community. Would it be too much to see a similar display on the editorial page of that good man or do some “Black Lives Matter” less? Does his death matter less because his life dressed in “Blue” negates the agenda?
