Route 2 ramp to Interstate 91 in Greenfield to be closed through May 19

GREENFIELD — To facilitate bridge deck repairs, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is closing the ramp from Route 2 westbound to Interstate 91 southbound in Greenfield from Tuesday, May 12, through Tuesday, May 19.

According to a MassDOT press release, traffic will be detoured onto Interstate 91 northbound to Exit 28 in Bernardston, where drivers can reverse direction to Interstate 91 southbound.

Appropriate signs, law enforcement details and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area, the release states. Drivers should reduce speed and use caution.

All planned work is weather dependent and may be impacted due to an emergency.
