8:48 p.m. — Caller who was living on Fourth Street several months ago said she let a friend who she was staying with take her laptop, PlayStation 4, 4K Smart TV and iPhone 10 to be put into storage at another friend’s in Erving. States she has been trying to get her belongings back to no avail. Advised of options.

Greenfield, Jan. 21

12:32 p.m. — Report of vandalism on Bradford Drive. Caller reports two people doing graffiti on one of the complexes. Located two minors tagging building along Petty Plain Road. They used chalk paint. Parent and maintenance notified. Management requesting a police report. Minors scrubbing the building.

2:25 p.m. — Officers flagged down by woman in black 4Runner at ER door at Baystate Franklin Medical Center. Dispatch advised to send other units to assist at ER entrance. Attempt to talk to elderly woman in vehicle about going into ER to be checked out. She refused. Units unable to determine if woman was refusing to answer questions or not able to. Physically removed female from vehicle. Was turned over to ER staff.

Montague, Jan. 21

5:38 p.m. — A Seventh Street man reports he arrived home to find his snowblower missing from a shed that was unlocked in the yard. Also noticed lights in the basement on and thinks someone may have accessed that as well.

Montague, Jan. 22

7:32 a.m. — DPW picked up a couch that was dumped on Lake Pleasant Road. Receipt with name/address from September 2019 found in cushion. Officer Joshua Dobosz placed a call to involved party.

11:55 a.m. — Report of smoke coming from a chimney at Senn II Excavating. Advised heavier smoke than usual and it is lingering.

12:19 p.m. — Report of two loose dogs, one brown and one black. Caller does not recognize them but advised they killed a neighbor’s chicken. Officer Joshua Dobosz unable to locate dogs, spoke with owner of the chicken who also does not know who owns the dogs.

Greenfield, Jan. 23

9:07 a.m. — Woman on Coombs Avenue reporting two men came into the apartment building looking for a neighbor who is a known drug dealer, then attacked her boyfriend after he told them to leave. Unknown if on foot or in vehicle, unknown direction of travel. Jonathan Stedman, 20, of Oak Courts, Greenfield, arrested for assault and battery, and breaking and entering for felony placing a person in fear.

4:28 p.m. — Caller reporting man stole her wallet. Bus driver stated he last saw party going into the Rite Aid store. Unable to locate. Confirmed with bus driver that man contacted in front of YMCA was suspect.

7:53 p.m. — A Riverside Drive caller reporting harassment from unknown individuals. States he is hearing voices from unknown person(s). States it’s one, possibly two or more voices that are bilingual (Spanish-English) and who are taking advantage of his anxiety. States he is feeling unsafe and not sure what he might do if confronted by these people. Will follow up with mental health provider.

Montague, Jan. 23

3:26 a.m. — Three men reported to be assaulting another party. Caller does not see weapons involved. Officer Cody Wells transporting one party to Park Street. Advised this appeared to be a dispute over money owed. One appeared to have minor injuries. Was offered EMS and refused.

6:07 a.m. — A Montague Street caller reports a man with a flashlight appeared to be looking into cars. Officers spoke to homeowner at this location, who confirmed he was outside with his flashlight looking for his newspaper.

11:03 p.m. — A taxi driver at the St. Kazimierz Society on Avenue A to pick someone up reported passenger was being belligerent and causing a problem, didn’t want to drive him to Greenfield. A second 911 call came in from the passenger, stating he recorded the incident and the driver was the problem. Officers Justin Moody and Jim Ruddock advised. Passenger later called, stated he is all set and is walking home. Officers unable to find him walking.

Greenfield, Jan. 24

11:07 a.m. — Alexander V. Petroulas, 23, of Turners Falls, was arrested for larceny from a person, shoplifting by asportation and impersonating a police officer.

3:51 p.m. — Report of a hypodermic needle on Federal Street. Restaurant manager reporting it was discarded in an empty planter in front of restaurant and would like it removed.

4:30 p.m. — A Hope Street caller reports a skunk out during the day that is in the road. Headed up Federal from Main. Several callers from Greenfield Coffee/Brad’s Place/banks. Secured in box donated by shop owner. Animal had previously been struck by a vehicle. Head bleeding. Brought to train tracks and dispatched.

7:17 p.m. — A Bouker Street caller reports she gave her boyfriend her debit card two hours ago to go to buy cognac and he has not returned. Allegedly buying rounds for people at Victoria Bar using her card. Boyfriend advises he does not possess her card. All involved were intoxicated.

Montague, Jan. 24

4:40 p.m. — Man and woman yelling outside for 30 minutes. Peace restored.

6:59 p.m. — Caller reports someone vandalized his vehicle while parked at work.

11:22 p.m. — Caller received a phone call from a blocked number and then returned home to find her wreath missing. States that is what he has done in the past — take stuff from her porch or put things at her door.

Greenfield, Jan. 25

4:05 p.m. — Caller calling from Stoneleigh-Burnham School campus reporting what sounded like shots fired, 20 to 30 in separate bursts, somewhere north of campus, possibly between area of Bernardston Road and Route 91. Officers checked, nothing heard.

Montague, Jan. 25

10:10 a.m. — Turners Falls Fire Department requests mutual aid to Deerfield to rescue a dog on ice in Connecticut River.

11:49 a.m. — Multiple calls reporting three-car accident on General Pierce Bridge, Turners Falls side. No apparent injuries/smoke/fluids. Montague and Greenfield police advised. Sgt. John Dempsey advised only two cars involved. Tow requested as vehicle is obstructing travel lane.

11:15 p.m. — A Fourth Street woman states her ex-friend is at her door drunk, pounding on door, causing a scene. Involved female was gone on arrival. Caller advised of options if she returns.

11:20 p.m. — Multiple calls reporting yelling and screaming new corner of N and Rastallis streets. Mother states two males were having an argument and then left. Neither is still there.

Greenfield, Jan. 26

1:08 a.m. — Traffic stop at intersection of Federal and Abbott streets. Eric C. Dumas, 28, of High Street, Greenfield, arrested for OUI-liquor over .08 percent (second offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to drive in the right lane and OUI-liquor (with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or greater).

9:41 a.m. — Report of a hypodermic needle at intersection of Chapman and Main streets. Disposed of properly.

10:22 a.m. — Report of malicious destruction to property on Pleasant Street. Caller reporting someone cut the fuel line on her vehicle. Officer to investigate.

2:55 p.m. — An accident with injuries occurred on Plain Road. Vehicle hit pole, then fled scene. 911 caller attempted to stop him, but he continued south on Plain. Eversource was contacted. Officer Justin Purinton has the vehicle stopped on Leyden Road in Leyden. Advised Leyden Police Department. Douglas R. Jones, 40, of Federal Street, was arrested for a marked lanes violation, leaving the scene of property damage, OUI-drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a Class A drug and carrying a dangerous weapon.

Greenfield, Jan. 27

12:15 p.m. — Report of a shoplifting incident at Rite Aid, 107 Main St. Officer spoke with manager, who reported man in his 60s attempted to conceal a feminine hygiene product. Once confronted, man gave item back and then left the store on foot. Searching area.

12:40 p.m. — Caller reports his Franklin First Credit Union debit card was stolen sometime early Sunday morning from Pond Street. Someone tried to use card at three different locations.

1:24 p.m. — An accident with no injuries on Cheapside Street. Very minor accident under railroad bridge. DPW headed toward Deerfield Street; FRTA bus headed toward Montague. Both mirrors struck and plastic cracked. FRTA will review video.

Montague, Jan. 28

1:46 a.m. — Officer Cody Wells checking welfare of driver who was traveling 3 mph. Was found to be playing Pokémon Go. Given a warning regarding this activity.
