As easy as it is to sometimes despise President Trump the man and to criticize his lack of presidential behavior and overall decorum, I’m amazed how dismissive the mainstream media is of Joe Biden’s arrogance and overall cockiness when it comes to his role regarding aid to Ukraine and to his son’s placement on the board of a major Ukrainian oil and gas conglomerate. For goodness sake, he’s on film boasting of his power and corresponding ability to make or break Ukraine’s defense system. Is this hubris at its best or what?
In defense of President Trump’s behavior in temporarily withholding Ukraine’s foreign aid, at least he had the cover of office to look into how taxpayer money is spent abroad. And ultimately he did release the designated funds. Hunter Biden’s placement on a foreign board of directors in exchange for large sums of money certainly justifies examination of a quid pro quo (something for something from the commander and chief’s job description).
So I ask again, how can the mainstream media not take the Biden’s behavior as a serous breach of executive influence and therefore not worthy of critical analysis and public reporting? Call Trump a scoundrel, a rake, and a hack if you must, but please let’s not ignore others worthy of the same titles or both sides of the aisle. Where’s Walter Cronkite when we need him most? Someone needs to have the guts to show the body bags being unloaded at Andrews Air Force bas as Walter did during Vietnam.
