Montague, Jan. 6

4:54 p.m. — Caller reports her office is receiving in excess of 100 phone calls a day from a man who has a claim with the caller’s agency that was denied and was moved to appeals court. She was advised to contact Boston Police Department to make a report with them as well.

Greenfield, Jan. 7

6:37 p.m. — A Community Health Center of Franklin County caller reports while sitting in her vehicle a woman began trying to scrape a bumper sticker off of her vehicle until she stopped her. Left headed toward the dispensary. Subject felt that a sticker supporting President Donald J. Trump was offensive so she decided to rip it off. Woman was advised of the legal recourse of this action and moved along.

Greenfield, Jan. 8

9:16 a.m. — Walk-in requesting officer assistance with his daughter using his checks fraudulently. He advised his daughter stole two checks from his Erving home and has since cashed them. He was advised to report to Erving Police Department.

6:04 p.m. — A Chapman Street caller reports there was a vehicle parked across from his house with its high beams on. He approached the vehicle and asked the party to move. Party refused and used several expletives. Gone on arrival.

Montague, Jan. 8

8:45 a.m. — Report of a motor vehicle rollover. Single occupant, initially reportedly still in the vehicle, exited the vehicle as the call progressed. No injuries but appears shaken up.

3:50 p.m. — Report of two couches dumped on Ferry Road. Officer Justin Moody advised. DPW advised and will follow up.

Montague, Jan. 9

3:39 a.m. — Caller states she is in a car and there are four men beating up a woman in the street. Some swearing was heard before the line went dead. Officer Cody Wells and Sgt. James Deery advised. Officer Wells advising all parties were separated.

5:50 p.m. — Caller left her bag outside Turners Falls Pizza House at 119 Avenue A while she went in to get her pizza. When she went back outside, the bag had been stolen.

Orange, Jan. 9

7:39 a.m. — Caller states she has spoken with officer regarding the school bus stop on Johnson Road. People are parking on both sides of the road and the children are “horse playing” close to the street. On arrival, the children were found to have already been picked up.

10:52 a.m. — Two-car motor vehicle accident on West Main Street. No injuries. No fluids.

4:02 p.m. — Caller advises he has an injured raccoon on his porch on Pine Avenue.

7:01 p.m. — Caller advises she was almost taken out by a Subaru that swerved into her lane on Route 2. Same is now in the woods. Mapping in the area of the 70.4 mile-marker. Both units responded and assisted with traffic.

Greenfield, Jan. 12

9:37 a.m. — Report of a hypodermic needle in the parking lot of Rite Aid at 107 Main St. Collected.

9:55 a.m. — Manhole washing out on the sidewalk on Chapman Street. Placed cones over it and asked dispatch to notify the DPW.

3:12 p.m. — A motor vehicle accident with injuries occurred at BJ’s Wholesale Club. Byrne called for tow.

Montague, Jan. 12

6:34 a.m. — Caller states there was a large tree in the road that he hit with his Ford F-350 and now there are chunks of the tree in the road causing a hazard. Det. Sgt. Joshua Hoffman advised. Hoffman moved the tree so it is not in the travel lane but requested state highway be notified.

12:22 p.m. — Caller believes one of her neighbors is cutting down a tree that is on town property. Most of the trees are on his property. He was advised to call the tree warden.

Greenfield, Jan. 13

4:14 a.m. — A rollover accident without injuries occurred at southbound mile-marker 44.8 on Interstate 91. Airbag deployment. Massachusetts State Police en route and AMR dispatched. Signed patient refusal. Koch’s called for tow.
