8:41 a.m. — A School Street caller reports her roommate uses chemicals and highly scented items to purposely aggravate her chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Claims housemate has been harassing her by putting dryer sheets and other smelly things all over the house. She was advised of her HPO options.

9:15 a.m. — Report of breaking-and-entering into a car at 890 Bernardston Road. Unlocked car in driveway rummaged through. Change taken. Checkbook, credit and debit discovered missing.

2:08 p.m. — Report of vandalism at 135 School St. Potholder in kitchen was destroyed by her housemate. Reporting party wants the incident documented as part of a pattern of harassment being perpetrated against her.

Montague, Dec. 29

5:51 p.m. — Landlord on Federal Street reporting a sewer backup in the basement of his building. DPW foreman notified and given reporting party’s info.

Greenfield, Dec. 30

3:13 a.m. — Report of a shoplifting incident at CVS Pharmacy at 137 Federal St. Reporting party states woman stole a blanket and a stuffed animal (valued at $113), and $20 to $25 worth of wound care products. Shelby Lynne Pike, 23, of Greenfield, was arrested for shoplifting by asportation.

8:04 a.m. — An accident without injuries occurred on the Route 2 bypass at Bernardston Road. Subaru Legacy could not stop coming off the highway and struck a van. Minor injuries. Two tows. Police assisted with traffic.

7:51 p.m. — Disabled motor vehicle on Smead Hill Road. Could not locate vehicle, spoke with plow operator who reported assisting driver in getting free.

8:42 p.m. — Caller from Wendy’s on Federal Street reports man calling incessantly for about one hour from an unknown number. Last phone call man threatened to “shoot up the place” if caller hung up. Officers to do extra checks.

11:42 p.m. — Employee reports receiving a call from a man asking about employment. He asked if they hire terrorists. She advised him to call in the morning to speak with a manager. He said, “The store will be bombed by then.”

Montague, Dec. 30

3:37 p.m. — Report of shoplifting at Food City. Woman stole several meat items, put them in a reusable shopping bag and left as a passenger in a vehicle with a male driver. Heading toward Cumberland Farms. Officer James Ruddock advised no contact at Cumberland Farms and Montague City Road. Ruddock viewed surveillance footage; woman identified. Detective Jacob Lepean on follow-up at suspect’s residence. Lepean advised vehicle is in driveway. Woman was read Miranda warning, admitted involvement, and stolen items were recovered. Items returned to Food City.

9:14 p.m. — K Street caller reports two suspicious men walking saying “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Hail Mary.” Advised one of them was dressed as a priest. Caller did not feel men were in right frame of mind. Last seen heading toward Avenue A. Officer James Ruddock advised.

10:49 p.m. — South Street caller reporting a possible gas leak in her second-floor apartment. Stated she does have a headache, was advised to leave the apartment and remove animals. Turners Falls Fire Department advised. Officer Nathan Pervere advised.

Greenfield, Dec. 31

5:10 p.m. — Police, firefighters and EMTs responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident at Dunkin Donuts, 378 Federal St. No one was taken to the hospital, but one vehicle was towed.

Greenfield, Jan. 1

4:18 a.m. — Eric Jorgensen, 28, of Plainfield, was arrested following a traffic stop on Federal Street and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense, and a lights violation.

2:57 p.m. — Homeless woman reporting items stolen from her camp.

Greenfield, Jan. 2

1:51 a.m. — Sage Paul Jillson, 23, of Greenfield, was arrested for trespassing on public land, idling engine of a stopped motor vehicle over five minutes and not being in possession of license. Fernando Soto, 30, of Greenfield was arrested for possession of a Class B drug, carrying a dangerous weapon and trespassing on public land.

6:12 a.m. — Christian John Drew, 29, of Greenfield, was arrested for OUI-drugs, possession of an open container of marijuana in a motor vehicle and a lights violation.

9:21 a.m. — Walk-in reporting a white Toyota, possibly a RAV4, driving erratically, tailing him, and threatening him when he and his wife pulled off in the pet store parking lot. Possibly passenger-side body damage, side-view mirror hanging off. Vehicle left at a high rate of speed. Advised incident report will be on file and if they see the vehicle again to call the police so officers can respond.

Greenfield, Jan. 3

5:56 p.m. — Man who may have had a gun at Ryan & Casey Liquors on Main Street reportedly stole a black 2004 Honda Pilot. It was reported one person went into the store, while three others waited in the car outside. A tall man speaking Spanish reportedly walked up to those in the car, motioned to his waist to suggest he had a gun, and asked the occupants to get out of the car before leaving in the vehicle. BOLO issued.

Greenfield, Jan. 5

5:22 p.m. — Caller near intersection of Ferrante Avenue and Summer Street reports coyotes in the area lately. Given info for animal control officer.

5:48 p.m. — An accident with injuries occurred at Rite Aid, 107 Main St. Victim refused medical treatment/transport.

Montague, Jan. 5

7:48 p.m. — A one-car accident, with fluids, occurred on Greenfield Road. No injuries reported but reporting party who was not involved in the accident reports possible intoxication and that female driver said there was another car in the road that she swerved to miss. Turners Falls Fire Department started and AMR ambulance notified to respond as a precaution. Rau’s started for tow. Damage to two sections of guardrails. Driver transported to hospital. Sgt. Peter Lapachinski responding to Baystate Franklin Medical Center to serve citation to driver. Cited for OUI-liquor over .08 percent, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation. Driver’s name was redacted by Montague Police Department.
