Let me start by saying I won’t use the term Democrat. I was proud to be a member of the Democratic Party for a long time — the “’old” Democratic Party of JFK (“Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”).

That party has been hijacked by these far left socialists that try to outdo each other by promising more and more free stuff for everybody in order to “buy” votes. So I’ll just call them socialists.

The effort to impeach President Donald J. Trump started immediately after his election. First, it was illegal money to Stormy Daniels they claim was going to take him down. After that, it was collusion with Russia. A couple years of collusion, collusion, collusion — Schiff even had proof and we heard about it over and over. Combine that with obstruction — again, over and over — until the Mueller Report put all that to rest.

Now it’s getting late and the socialists need something else, so it’s the Ukraine “quid-pro-quo.” Never mind that the Ukraine has said there was never any quid-pro-quo, the socialists know better and need to impeach.

Nancy Pelosi promised there would be no impeachment unless “there is overwhelming and compelling evidence and bipartisan support.” Well, no overwhelming evidence, just opinion and conjecture, and zero bipartisan support, but she gave in to the socialists and did it anyway.

According to nonpartisan historical scholars, if Congress used the same grounds for impeaching in the past as these socialists are using against president Trump, most all of our presidents could have been impeached, including Lincoln, FDR, and yes, Barack Hussein Obama.

I blame the media for continuing to spew the hate that has blinded these people to reality. There is never anything good said about this president regardless of all the successes he continues to have. The Recorder is a good example of Trump bashing day in and day out. Never one positive thing in three years. I would be happy to pen a weekly update for the Recorder on his accomplishments so people can a have little reality presented to them. I would do it for free.
