Scholarship Recipients: The Mohawk Trail Regional School District announced that 11 members of the class of 2020 have been selected as John and Abigail Adams Scholarship recipients. The John and Abigail Adams Scholarship is a merit-based program that provides a tuition waiver for up to eight semesters of undergraduate education at a Massachusetts state college or university. Merit is based on student scores on the 10th grade Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) test. To be eligible, students must score in the advanced category on either the mathematics or the English language arts section of the test and score in the proficient or advanced category in the other subject, as well as have a combined MCAS score that ranks in the top 25 percent in their school district. The 2020 John and Abigail Adams Scholarship recipients are: Reagan DuPree, Jaden Kitchen Lipski, Zane Kitchen Lipski, Barrett Liebermann, Isis Moon, Caleb Patnode, Grace Poplawski, Ella Seward, Natalie Szewczyk, Lillian VanVleet and Elizabeth Vight.
