At our Aug. 11 meeting, the Board of Trustees (present) of Shelburne Historical Society voted unanimously in opposition to the proposed building of a new senior center at the location adjacent to the former Arms Academy (Historical Society Building). The board feels a new building at this site will severely detract from the historical nature of the present building. We are also concerned about parking issues associated with this site.
