WHATELY — Quonquont Farm at 9 North St. will serve as the site of Cancer Connection’s annual Harvest Celebration Dinner & Silent Auction on Friday.
The gala event, set for 6 to 10 p.m., raises money to underwrite the free programs and services offered by Cancer Connection, according to an event press release.
“I love working on this event with some of my favorite people to support an organization that is so vital,” said Erin Vorwerk, auction co-chair.
The menu features roasted salmon and beef tenderloin, butternut squash soufflé, wild mushroom risotto cakes, Quonquont Farm apple crisp and more. Rob Watson of Lone Wolf Restaurant in Amherst is catering. He and Patrick Viteri of Patrick & Company in Hadley are the event co-hosts.
Doug MacMillan and Jazz Sketches will provide music, and there will also be a silent auction, the release states.
“Whether you are looking for delicious food, great company or a fun night out supporting a good cause, this is the place,” Vorwerk said. “Are you looking for gifts for someone or treats for yourself? Are you a sports lover or a bird lover or a pet lover? Do you enjoy theater or outdoor adventures? Are you looking for art, jewelry or gift certificates for great food from local restaurants? Yeah, we’ve got that — all of that — and more.”
Reservations are required as the event has sold out in previous years. Tickets are $85. Doors open at 6 p.m. for hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.
