Downtown Trick-or-Treat and Rag Shag Parade: Thursday, Oct. 31, for trick-or-treating from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The Recreation Department will hand out free reflective bags on the Greenfield Common. Stick around to march in the Rag Shag Parade starting at 5:30 at the Mohawk Mall and ending at Energy Park, with costume judging and prizes. Costume contest categories include Best Homemade, Most Original, Best Cartoon Character, Scariest, Cutest, Adult Open Category and Group/Family Category.

Park Highlight: Come visit Shattuck Park located next to the Greenfield High School. Shattuck Park was acquired by the city in October 1906. The park is home to a wooded area with mature trees and a playground that was renovated in 2015. If you’re looking for a place in town to take in all that fall has to offer or wanting to mix up what playground you take the children to, then Shattuck Park might be what you’re looking for.
