Emma Wennar scored a hat trick to lead the Northfield Mount Hermon School girls soccer team to a 4-2 victory over Deerfield Academy on Wednesday in Deerfield.

Salma Ramirez also scored for NMH, while Aniela Jensen had two assists and Peyton Pettiford-Rowan and Ella Gazo each had an assist.

Angie Reg and Ruby Chase scored in the loss.

■ In other prep action, the Deerfield Academy field hockey team rolled past Kimball Union, 8-1, and the volleyball team earned a 3-0 win over NMH. 

The Deerfield boys soccer team tied 1-1 with Westminster.

Wa Wa Perry caught a pass from Nick Aldrich and raced 57 yards into the end zone to give Taylor Tavern a 12-7 win over Travel Kuz to remain in first place of the Greenfield Men’s Touch Football League over the weekend. 

Malcolm Smith hit Adam Bastarache for a 9-yard touchdown pass for the lone Kuz touchdown of the game, which was followed by an Abe Klein extra point. 

Aldrich tossed the game-winning touchdown pass to Jake Field from 15 yards out. 

■ Chris Lemay caught two touchdowns from quarterback Pat Viencek to move Hubie’s Tavern to 4-2 with a 22-12 win over Frosty’s Raiders. 

Austin Watroba had a pick six and added an extra point for Hubie’s. 

Joe Comeau threw touchdown passes to Marcus McClure and Louis Gomez in the Raiders loss, with Steven Torres picking up his league-leading 12th sack of the season. 

■ Sirum scored 13 points in the first half before erupting with 25 in the second half in a 38-0 blowout of Wormtown.

Parker Hickey threw three touchdown passes to Chris Hart and two more to Tom Field. 

Middle Schools

The Mahar Regional girls middle school soccer team lost to Pioneer Valley Regional, 3-1, on Tuesday. 

Anna Dunn scored in the first half assisted by Lily Mom-Uch for the Senators. Alivia Patch made 12 saves.

Sahara Heilman, Hailey Ring and Rachel Wood scored for the Panthers.

Mahar Regional 3, Athol 0 — The Senators took down their crosstown rival on Wednesday behind goals from Dunn, Mom-Uch and Bella Malo. 

Rachel Laythe, Emma Elliott and Dakota Cleveland picked up assists in the win while Patch made 10 saves in goal. 

■ The Athol Royalston Middle School boy soccer team lost to Mahar, 3-1, with the lone Athol goal scored by Benjamin Kearney.

■ The Mahar Regional girls JV team got a goal from Natalie Apteker in a 5-1 loss to Monson on Tuesday. 

Apteker scored on a cross from Logan Burke. Sara Simon made 10 saves for the Senators.   

Youth baseball

Babe Ruth

Aidan Heffernan, Dylan Camp and Max Skibirski-Banack combined to throw a no-hitter in leading Pioneer Garden over Northampton, 9-2, on Saturday.

Davey Mazur had two hits, a double and a pair of runs in the win while Gabe Solodky added a hit, and RBI and a run, Olivia Noyes had a hit and an RBI and AJ Desmond had an RBI. 

Heffernan, Camp and Sam Whitney also scored runs. 

On Sunday, Henry Potter had a pair of hits and Davey Mazur had a double to lead Pioneer Gardens over Westfield Green, 10-7. 

After trailing 4-0, Pioneer scored six runs in the third to take the lead, and added one in the fourth and three in the fifth to earn the victory. 

Noyes and Ben Johnson hit safely in the win and Whitney struck out five on the mound.
