A recent Recorder article called the Mass Student Opportunity Act a gift to education. I say is it a measly start on getting back on track.

When a 4-year-old study says education is underfunded by $1-2 billion, allocating $200 million more is abduction of responsibility.

The time since the study has at least $4 billion more unfunded, not to mention gap in the years before the study, and, if the legislature does not take some serious action, that number will grow significantly. That major education groups consider it a major step is a sad testimony to our funding process.

Let see some real change in the funding of education at all levels and soon.
