Freedom Credit Union is collaborating with PROSHRED Springfield to offer free Community Shred Days at five of its branches — including Greenfield — in September.
The public is invited to bring old bills, bank statements, tax returns and other sensitive documents for free, quick and secure on-site shredding, a Freedom Credit Union press release states.
Members and non-members alike may bring up to five file boxes or paper bags (per vehicle) to the events. Participants are also encouraged to bring nonperishable food items for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.
The schedule for the Community Shred Days is as follows:
■9 to 10 a.m. — 58 Union St., West Springfield
■10:30 to 11:30 a.m. — 959 Springfield St., Feeding Hills
