DREAMSTIME

Flyby News came out of a campaign to expose or stop NASA’s Cassini Earth flyby, a space ship with 72.3 pounds of highly radioactive plutonium on board. Launched in 1997 it conducted two flybys around Venus and then accelerated back toward Earth at speeds around 10 miles per second. On Aug. 18, 1999, Cassini used a sling-shot maneuver around Earth that could have crashed into our atmosphere and expose 5 billion people to 99 percent of the radiation on board. This danger was detailed in NASA’s own Environmental Impact Statement.

John Gofman, M.D., Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Molecular and Cell Biology at UCLA wrote in a letter of concern: “By any reasonable standard of biomedical proof, there is no safe dose, which means that just one decaying radioactive atom can produce permanent mutation in a cell’s genetic molecules.” Interviewed by a newspaper on the day of the flyby he said: “I’m very much in favor of the space program, but I think the use of plutonium in space is a manifestation of organized insanity.”

It wasn’t just the plutonium on board that was our concern, but the U.S. plans for weaponizing space. Working closely with investigative reporter and author, professor Karl Grossman, I learned of documents describing the U.S. military’s plans for absolute global dominance by gaining the ultimate high ground and by further incorporating nuclear weapons and technologies.

It was due to the pursuit of an atomic bomb that President Truman was encouraged to sign the 1947 “National Security Act.” Later he regretted this decision which deferred special powers to intelligence agencies with no oversight (as long as “they” determine a “national security interest”). In 1960 Truman told a biographer that he regretted signing it and creating the CIA. He expressed a sense of foreboding about what the agency had become, and would become: “I think it was a mistake. And if I’d know what was going to happen, I never would have done it.”

In 1967, the U.S., along with 95 other member states of the United Nations signed a “Peaceful Use of Space Treaty.” Yet that was a ploy to mislead others from seeing the truth. The year after Kennedy’s assassination in 1964, the Gulf of Tonkin “incident” happened, and that was later admitted to be a false flag operation aimed at expanding the U.S. war in Vietnam. But that was not the only treacherous event that year. A UPI news article reported that the U.S. exploded a nuclear bomb and “almost permanently ended the U.S. space program.”

Following the traumatizing Sept. 11, 2001 events, President Bush unilaterally terminated the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty. “Space for Peace and September 11” is an article I wrote in 2011 that explains why after the opportunity to stop the expansion of the arms race was lost, our focus then shifted to researching and providing resources on 9-11, which showed evidence of a U.S.-led military false flag operation.

In 2012 Flyby News produced a video compilation called “Dark Legacy – JFK and 9-11.” Truth on Earth and in space became our focus: Without truth there is no justice, and without justice there is no peace. George Orwell in 1984 wrote: “Those who control the past control the future.” I became aware how events in our past showed evidence of severe distortion.

“Dark Legacy, JFK and 9-11” was inspired by filmmaker John Hankey’s documentary called “Dark Legacy: George Bush and the Murder of John F. Kennedy.” Hankey’s film revealed a coup d’etat of the U.S. republic on Nov. 22, 1963. In 2013 Flyby News hosted a community forum on the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President Kennedy. This was also in the year of the 100th anniversary of the advent of the Federal Reserve. This represented a globalized monetary system that was beneficial to investors financing world wars no matter which side won or lost.

Looking ahead beyond Flyby News’s 20th anniversary, which is on the same day as the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock Music Festival, 2020 looms large in significance. Will voters and leaders deal with the larger issues of energy pollution’s impact on our environment, the dangers of war and nuclear proliferation, a rogue military-industrial-congressional-intelligence-Media-academia-think-tank complex, universal healthcare, and the divide of the rich and the poor? In the post Cassini flyby era independent news for life’s survival in the 21st century will find its way to the end or to a new beginning. In one form or another, truth will prevail.
