I read today’s paper and find a couple of articles interesting; front page ( “At vigil, students vow to end gun violence”) I applaud the children and the adults taking part in this peaceful vigil, next I found the my turn “Spreading kindness in August” and beyond very refreshing and meaningful.

That’s when I looked up and saw the very sick cartoon of a person, this could be any person holding a revolver/gun to his head with the words “hate & guns” written on it with a caption “This is the life we’ve chosen.”

This type of cartoon totally diminishes the articles from the children and definitely promotes gun violence or suicide. It surely does not spread kindness in the month of August. Please think about all of people who have been affected, suffered by gun violence, suicide and the hatred being sown by some very unhappy, disconnected people.

I think the time has come to either join together or all is lost.
