This is in response to the Op-Ed that was published in The Recorder a few days ago.

The writer was upset over the Supreme Court approving Gerrymandering. Evidently the writer does not know the history of Gerrymandering.

Gerrymandering was started by Massachusetts Gov. Gerry. He moved the boundaries of electoral districts to improve the Democrats control in our Legislature. Since then, many Gerrymandering actions have taken place so now most districts are Democrat-controlled.

At 91 years old, I have witnessed the slow change that took place in Massachusetts changing from  conservative to liberal. This happened because of the liberal party changing the welfare system to a free handout system which has enslaved those who use the system.
