Colrain

The Community Clothes Closet at 83 Foundry Village Road has reopened after its winter break. The closet will be open every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. until next winter. All towns are welcome. Clothes are free and suit all ages. The closet accepts donations of clean clothing, which can be delivered anytime at the building’s rear. Greenfield

The Greenfield Public Library will be closed Thursday and Friday for the Independence Day holiday. Mayor William Martin has also decided to close town offices on Friday. The library will reopen under its usual hours on Saturday.

Northfield

The Northfield Senior Center’s Annual Clambake will take place Wednesday, July 17, at 6 p.m. in the Stanley Wickey Pavilion (behind the Northfield Town Hall). Tickets must be purchased by July 10. Clambake, $30; lobster, $20; steamers, $15; chicken, $10; chicken and steamers, $20. All meals include corn on the cob, baked potato, coleslaw, chowder, beverages and dessert. Food Pantry: The community food pantry is open the second and fourth Saturdays of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The pantry is in the basement of Dickinson Memorial Library, 115 Main St.

Sunderland

Serendipity Shop: Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Congregational Church basement. Men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, shoes and sneakers. Most items $1. Men’s suits and all coats, $3. Women’s suits, $2. Donations accepted. Proceeds to benefit the church. 413-665-2890.

Turners Falls

Bingo will be played from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Greenfield Savings Bank, 282 Avenue A. Bette Sokoloski will be guest caller. GSB will provide cards, gag prizes and light refreshments. Franklin Area Survival Center: 96 4th St., 413-863-9549. The thrift store, which is open to the public and helps finance the food pantry, is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The food pantry is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. In an emergency, such as a fire or flood, the center will supply needed clothing, linens and food to help the disaster victims.

Wendell

“At The Earth’s Core” will be shown Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Wendell Free Library. A Victorian scientist and his young American backer set off in their new Earth-boring machine with a short test on a Welsh mountain. A half-hour episode of “Fireball XL5” will be shown before the movie. Part of a monthly series of science fiction/fantasy and horror/monster movies. Free.
