Summer Camp Registration: There is still availability in the 9 to 12 group. Program takes place through Friday, Aug. 16; Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Camp includes theme weeks, field trips, special events and trips to Laurel Lake.
Movies In The Park: Peskeomskut Park, Avenue A, Turners Falls. Friday, July 12, “Finding Dory,” and Friday, Aug. 16, “Cars 3.” Live music will be provided before the movies. The experimental jam band Immortal Jellyfish will perform on July 12 at 6:30 p.m. Bring a blanket or folding chair. Films start at dusk. Refreshments will be provided while supplies last. Second Annual 3-on-3 Next Up Youth Basketball Tournament: Saturday, Aug. 10 (rain date of Sunday, Aug. 11). Unity Park basketball court, 56 First St., Turners Falls. There will be four divisions: Varsity, JV, 14U and 12U with a four-game guarantee/single elimination format. Proof of age required at registration. The cost is $40 per team, with a maximum of four players per team. There will be no separate gender divisions, so teams may be co-ed or all one gender.
