1:09 p.m. — Caller states there is a man harassing people outside Food City.
6:37 p.m. — Caller reports there is a man in the road wearing dark green clothing directing traffic at the Mutton and Mead medieval festival. Very difficult to see him and he was almost hit. Officer Joshua Dobosz advised.
6:53 p.m. — Caller requests an officer at the Mutton & Mead medieval festival to help with traffic. Claims at the second field, a quarter of the way up toward Montague Center, cars are being pushed out of the muddy field, onto Turners Falls Road. Would like an officer for visibility so no one gets hit.
4:12 p.m. — Report of a domestic disturbance at Pine Ridge Estates. Man was home alone fighting with his oven. He stated he pays a lot of money every month to live in his apartment and the oven they provided burns all his food. He advised he lost his cool on the oven. No domestic issues.
8:15 p.m. — Anonymous caller states there are some local people who frequent the downtown area, currently entering the abandoned building next door on Main Street. Two homeless individuals, checking out abandoned building as possible camp site. Advised same of breaking-and-entering laws and hazards of property.
4:38 a.m. — Received a 911 hang-up call from Conway Street. Report of breaking and entering at this location. Caller states that her granddaughter entered her home and had been sleeping in the basement. She discovered that the granddaughter was there when the granddaughter woke her up to let her out of the basement. Caller states the basement door latches behind you and that is how her granddaughter had gotten locked in. She states her granddaughter left on foot wearing pink and black shorts, a black sweatshirt and flip-flops, carrying a dirty white blanket, and has a bag of Doritos. Checked area. Unable to locate.
5:13 a.m. — Caller on Peabody Lane states that he is just now coming home from work and discovered a man naked in a vehicle parked in the road. The two parties from a previous domestic call on Hope Street had reconciled and were fornicating in the vehicle because they did not have a shared place to go.
8:18 a.m. — Report of malicious destruction to property at the parking garage at 19 Olive St. Officer to investigate.
1:42 p.m. — Single-vehicle crash with no injuries on Bank Row. Vehicle drove up over the sidewalk into and over a parking meter in front of 35 Bank Row. No injuries. Koch’s towed the vehicle. Citation issued.
3:14 p.m. — Two-vehicle crash. No injuries. Koch’s requested for a tow.
11:28 a.m. — Report of a syringe in a tree on G Street, where the parents park, low enough where a child could potentially reach it. Syringe retrieved for disposal.
4:58 p.m. — Caller stated there was a bobcat in their yard this morning and requested it be put on file that there is one in the area. Officer Jim Ruddock advised.
5:50 p.m. — Caller reporting a car went off into the woods, no visible flames or smoke. Called Shelburne Control to tone out Montague Center first responders and fire. AMR Ambulance advised and will respond. At 6:02 p.m., Montague Officer Jim Ruddock advised everyone is out of the vehicle, no major injuries, continue to have EMS respond. AMR advised. At 6:07 p.m., Ruddock requested Rau’s for a tow.
7:17 p.m. — Caller reports about 10 to 15 people swearing, smoking, playing loud music and jumping off the bridge at East Mineral Road. Sgt. John Dempsey advised. He spoke with the group, no paraphernalia showing as far as smoking, and asked them to keep it quiet.
8:17 a.m. — Two-vehicle crash, with airbag deployment at 280 Main St.
9:25 a.m. — Caller reports an accident with no injuries in the area of Applebee’s on the Mohawk Trail.
11:57 a.m. — Caller reports a hit-and-run at 91 School St. Vehicle that left is a brown Nissan pickup truck. Caller is familiar with the involved, as he is a tenant of the property he is doing working at. Info exchanged.
