The town has planned to meet on May 21 prior to its Annual Town Meeting planned for the following week.
The May 21 meeting starts at 5:45 p.m. at the Hawlemont Regional Elementary School cafeteria.
On the agenda is a discussion of articles on the Annual Town Meeting warrant. Selectboard and Finance Committee members are hosting the meeting and plan to bring along slow-cooked meals to share.
Charlemont’s Annual Town Meeting is scheduled May 28 at 7:30 p.m.
Floodwater Brewing Co. is hosting its monthly comedy show this Thursday, May 16 at 8 p.m. at 40 State St.
The show begins at 8 p.m. and costs $5 to attend, benefiting the Shelburne Falls Trolley Museum. Comedians Rafi Gonzalez and Tim McKeever will perform.
The town Board of Health will offer “tick tables” with information and demonstrations on tick bite prevention this Saturday.
The tables will be available in two locations on Saturday. The first is at the Bridge of Flowers Plant Sale at Village Green on the corner of Main and Water streets from 9 a.m. to midday. The next table will be located at the Buckland Public Library at 30 Upper Street from 2 p.m., for about an hour or two.
