Scarecrow in the Park: The Bernardston Massachusetts Kiwanis is seeking artists, craftspeople, and specialty food purveyors for its Scarecrow in the Park event on Oct.19 and 20 at Cushman Park. Organizers are seeking artists in a variety of mediums. Booth fee for the two-day weekend is $45 per 10-by-10-foot and $70 for a 10-by-20-foot booth space. President’s List: Bethany Elwell-Spada of Greenfield was named to the President’s List at Bentley University, Fall semester 2018. She is the daughter of Patricia Elwell and granddaughter of Lorraine Elwell and Robert Elwell, all of Greenfield. She spent the spring semester studying abroad at Bond University on the Gold Coast of Australia. Elwell-Spada, a 2015 graduate of Mohawk Trail Regional High School, plans to pursue a career in marketing and advertising in the Boston area.
