MONTAGUE — The annual election has one contested race – for a three-year terms as tree warden – between incumbent Mark Stevens, of 909 Fairway Avenue, who is unenrolled, and Democratic caucus nominee Diana Souza, of 121 Greenfield Road.

The remainder of the annual town’s election on Monday, May 20 will be unopposed, discounting write-ins. 

Chris Botwell Sr., of 28 Sunset Drive, is the Democratic incumbent running for reelection to the Selectboard for a three-year term.

Deb Bourbeau, of 404 Millers Falls Road, is running for reelection for town clerk, which has a three-year term. She is a Democrat.

Treasure/tax collector candidate is Eileen Seymour, of 9 Lyman St., who was appointed to the position two years ago. Seymour is a Democrat.

Teresa Miner, of 34 Highland St., is running for reelection for a three-year term as assessor. Miner is a Democrat.

Albert Cummings Jr., of 9 K St., is running for reelection to both the board of health as well as the parks and recreation department. He is a Democrat.

Stanley Zera Jr., of 5 Quarry Road, seeks reelection for a five-year term on Montague Housing Authority. Zera is a Democrat.

There are three candidates for three public library trustee positions with a three-year term. Karen Latka, of 266 Turners Falls Road, and Nancy Crowell, of 4 Grout Circle, are running for reelection and Margot Malachowski, of 108 Ripley Road, is running for the first time. Latka and Malachowski are Democrats and Crowell is unenrolled.

There is also one open seat for public library trustee with a one-year term.
