BUCKLAND – The Buckland Selectboard voted Jan. 24 to support changing its street lights to energy-efficient LED bulbs. About 90 street lights in Buckland will be changed, Selectboard Chair Dena Willmore said Tuesday. The project is estimated to cost $20,000. The Selectboard plans to pay for the project with two grants. LED, an acronym for “light emitting diode,” street lights are significantly less expensive to operate and are better for the environment, Willmore said.

BUCKLAND – Buckland is looking for a new town administrator. The position was recently vacated by Andrea Llamas, who held it for 11 years. Llamas has been hired as town administrator for Northfield.
