The needlessly expensive courthouse renovation took funds that should have paid for a new library.
As an outsider, hearing that there is $60 million (courthouse) and another $10 million (from a library grant) available, I would certainly think that for $70 million both a new library and courthouse renovations could have easily been done.
The courthouse should have had an addition that mirrored the existing front style of the building.
A simple styled addition would have been just as useful for courthouse business, yet the cost savings would have been dramatic. How disappointing.
