Have parade on Monday please

My heart is torn between going to church and attending the Veterans Day parade in Greenfield.

If the parade planners had realized that many veterans attend church on Sunday morning they would have planned to have the parade on another day. 

This year Veterans Day was on a Sunday and many veterans have Monday off and could attend Veterans Day activity on Monday which would allow them to attend church on Sunday. Also, all schools are closed and many workers have the day off ,which would allow more people to attend the parade.

I am a 91-year-old WWII, Cold War and Combat Korean War veteran and have not missed a Veterans Day parade for many years.

Thanks, Veterans Day parade planners for causing my heart to be torn.
