GREENFIELD – A structure fire at 79 Washington St. was reported on Thursday morning around 10:30. Greenfield and Turners Falls Fire departments and Greenfield police responded.
The fire was extinguished shortly after firefighters arrived.
One resident was transported from the scene after complaints of trouble breathing. A bird and a dog were taken out of the residence as well.
