I want to add that we have another very special grocery store in Greenfield, and that is our local, family-owned Foster’s Supermarket. Local ownership means that the profits stay in the county. And, Foster’s supports our local community with many generous donations to good causes.
Foster’s Supermarket recognized the importance of supporting the regional food economy, and has been buying from local farmers and food manufacturers since long before “buy local” was a thing.
We are grateful that the Deane family continues to own and operate a local grocery in Greenfield. I encourage readers to shop at Foster’s Supermarket for fresh food and to keep your money circulating in the local economy.
