Quarterback Nick Aldrich found Tyson Dowdy for a 7-yard touchdown pass in the final minute, lifting Rocketfusion.com to a 12-7 win over Sirum in a Greenfield Men’s Touch Football League contest Sunday at Green River Field.

Dowdy also had an earlier touchdown catch, and Neal Kaham added a key interception to seal the victory for Rocketfusion, which held onto second place.

Sirum quarterback Parker Hickey threw a touchdown pass to Chris Hart and hit Alex Pirozhkov with the extra point.

• Elsewhere, Jeremy Benz and Jonathan Bones both caught touchdown passes, and Alex Bourassa hauled in a key extra point to send Between The Uprights to a 13-12 nail-biter over Pondside Pizza.

BTU improved to 9-0 on the season.

Pondside QB CJ Brady threw touchdowns to Jordan Miller and Deshown Sanders.

• In Sunday’s other game, Jon Hall threw four touchdown passes as Travel Kuz thumped Hubie’s Tavern, 33-0.

Kendall Schneider caught two touchdowns in the win, while Chris Dodge and Sunny Lucas also hauled in scores. Lucas returned an interception for a touchdown as well, while Schneider, Zach Bitzer and Adam Bastarache notched extra points.

Efrain Cordova, Kimie Taylor and Mac Perry played well for Hubie’s.

FCHA Midgets fall

Jacob Bryant had the lone tally, as the Franklin County Hockey Association dropped a 4-1 decision to Nonotuck in a Greater Springfield League Midget Division hockey game Sunday.

Derek Lenois assisted on the goal for FCHA.

Fall Babe Ruth

Dan Diemand went 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and one run scored, and Michael Pierce was 2-for-2 with two RBIs but Franklin County Green fell to Amherst, 11-7, in a Babe Ruth Fall Ball game Sunday.

Aidan Heffernan, Diemand, Grayson Loos and Gillis MacDougall combined to strike out eight in the loss. Jack Vecellio went 2-for-3 with a run scored, MacDougall had a hit and scored twice, Miles Ferriera had a hit and scored a run, and Joey White and Gabe Salodky each scored once.
