I am writing in response to the news about beaver problems in the Orange area. I am very opposed with the plan to exterminate these animals.
The beaver is a unique and intelligent species that deserves to be preserved in nature.
If the concern is about damming and flooding of waters, than I feel it is far better to use the Beaver Deceiver devices that have been successful in many places.
By destroying these beavers, more can only come back again in due time. While the use of the Beaver Deceiver will spare them from suffering and death… no matter how they are exterminated, there is bound to be drowning and suffering.
