Bridge of Flowers fundraiser Sunday

SHELBURNE FALLS — A flowery gala to benefit the Bridge of Flowers takes place Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Salmon Falls Gallery.

A silent auction of a large pastel painting, “Light Showers,” will take place.

Dress in your flowery finest, and hear live music from “Einstein’s Little Homunculus,” a musical group that includes Bridge of Flowers head gardener Carol Laliberte Delorenz. For every purchase of a flower-related art object or vase, Salmon Falls Gallery will donate 10 percent of the purchase price to the Bridge of Flowers.

Networking event at Apex Orchard Farm on Oct. 11

SHELBURNE — The Greater Shelburne Falls Area Business Association and the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce are teaming up for an Oct. 11 “Business After Hours,” a joint networking event, to be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Apex Orchard Farm Store, at 225 Peckville Road.
