HAWLEY — The Sons and Daughters of Hawley hold its annual Hawley Harvest Supper this Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Stump Sprouts Guest Lodge at 64 West Hill Road.
The meal begins with dinner prepared with locally grown foods, followed by a presentation by Amy Kippenstein and Paul Lacinski on the history and business of Sidehill Farm, an organic dairy in Hawley.
Dinner is limited to 40 people; the suggested dinner donation is $20, to support the Sons and Daughters of Hawley in its mission to preserve historic records and buildings.

COLRAIN — The Selectboard is seeking residents to serve on a new ad-hoc committee to study possible wastewater solutions and options for the town center. This process will be guided by Jenna Day, a community development specialist from Heath, who works for RCAP Solutions, an affiliate of Rural Communities Assistance Partnership. This is a nonprofit group working to ensure rural and small communities have access to safe drinking water and sanitary wastewater disposal.

SHELBURNE FALLS — New pottery classes begin later this month in the new Community Studio that Molly Cantor Pottery has developed inside the old Lamson & Goodnow complex, now known as The Mill at Shelburne Falls, 45 Conway St.
Weekly clay classes for children ages 8 through 12 begins Sept. 25. It is a 10-week class meeting Tuesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. Taught by Rhonda Wainshilbaum, the class provides hand-building projects and learning to throw on a pottery wheel.
“Learn to Throw: Developing a practice,” begins Oct. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. This is an eight-week class taught by Page Wilder for the novice to the advanced beginner or intermediate throwers.
