MONTAGUE — Applications for grant funded community-oriented arts, humanities and science programs for 2019 will be accepted by the Montague Cultural Council now through Oct. 15.

Last year, the cultural council awarded 22 grants ranging from $100 to $350 for projects like musical performances, theatrical performances, art-making workshops, readings and others.

These projects were organized by individuals and organizations alike and have taken place at public locations including schools, the Great Falls Discovery Center, the Montague Public Libraries, the Shea Theater Community Arts Center and the Brick House Community Resource Center.

According to a press release, the Montague Cultural Council “wishes to encourage proposals from a broad range of applicants and to fund programs that allow residents in all five villages to experience a diverse array of programming.”

Interested applicants can find the application and guidelines at http://www/mass-culture.org.

The Montague Cultural Council recommends those considering applying for a grant this year, to attend a meeting on Sept. 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Gill Montague Senior Center on 62 5th Street, Turners Falls.
