Greenfield Harmony is seeking new singers as it embarks on its 18th year of multigenerational and multicultural community singing.

Led by Mary Cay Brass, this 60- to 70-voice group sings a dynamic cornucopia of soulful, thrilling songs of joy, hope, peace and courage from many cultures.

This fall’s line-up will include songs from Bosnia, Croatia, South Africa, the Republic of Georgia, Bulgaria and early American and gospel traditions, according to a Greenfield Harmony press release.

Greenfield Harmony meets on Mondays from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. starting Sept. 24 at St. James and Andrew Episcopal Church in Greenfield. The 12-week session costs $120, with scholarships available to defray the cost.

The session will conclude with a concert the third weekend of December at Wesley Methodist Church in Hadley. There will also be a gospel workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 10 with John Harrison, director of the Montpelier (Vt.) Community Gospel Choir.

Greenfield Harmony has a long history of building bridges through music through its choice of songs, commitment to community and benefit concerts supporting peace efforts locally and globally.
