Wisnewski picks up endorsements

Francia Wisnewski, a Democrat seeking the 1st Franklin House seat in the Sept. 4 Democratic primary, has received endorsements from Franklin County Continuing the Political Revolution, from former Rep. Denise Andrews of Orange and from Maria’s List.

Maria’s List is a Boston-based organization focused on elevating progressive candidates who promote equity, work to close opportunity gaps and promote accountability and a robust democracy across Massachusetts and the United States.

“I am proud to be recognized and supported by groups and individuals working at all levels of the political system — locally, regionally, and nationally,” said Wisnewski, who is one of seven candidates running for the seat now held by Rep. Stephen Kulik, D-Worthington. “And as a member of FCCPR since its founding in 2016, I am proud to have been endorsed by my fellow members and will be honored to have their votes on Sept. 4,” she said. The grassroots organization determined its endorsements in the upcoming election cycle using ranked-choice voting, which Wisnewski called “the only way forward to make people feel that their choices are truly reflected in election outcomes.”
