Appalachian Still concert tonight

BERNARDSTON — Appalachian Still, a Northampton band whose style combines bluegrass, rock and folk, will play a free concert outside the Cushman Library today at 7 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic dinners.

The concert is sponsored by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Friends of the Cushman Library and Pioneer Valley Tire.

If it rains, the concert will be held inside the Unitarian Church.

Blueberry supper at Leyden Town Hall Saturday

LEYDEN — The annual blueberry supper will be held on Saturday at Leyden’s Town Hall, with seatings at 5 and 6:30 p.m.

Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, beef gravy, mixed vegetables, blueberry muffins and blueberry pie are on the menu, with blueberries readily available to snack on throughout the dinner.

The blueberries are donated by the Herron family’s farm, who have supported the annual supper for at least four decades.

A contra dance band at Town Hall

NORTHFIELD — Calamity Physics, a traditional contra-style band with violins, mandolins, piano and whistles, will play at the pavilion outside the Northfield Town Hall on Saturday at 6 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner and dancing shoes.

The concert is sponsored by the library and the Council on Aging.
