The Franklin-Hampshire-Worcester state Senate District is fortunate to have such a remarkable candidate running to represent us in the state Senate: Jo Comerford.
I worked directly under Jo for three years at National Priorities Project, a federal budget think tank based in Northampton, where Jo was our executive director. She impressed me every day with her intelligence, grit, and passion for making change.
Since then Jo has continued to be my role model for how to use one’s life to improve our world. Her resume is right for state Senate — besides National Priorities Project, Jo has led national campaigns for MoveOn and has been a pillar of our local community in leadership roles at the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts and the western Mass American Friends Service Committee.
Most of all, Jo is the right choice because she is a tenacious leader with a moral compass that always points true north, something that’s painfully rare in our government today. I urge you to write in Jo (Jo Comerford, 186 Federal St., Northampton) for state Senate on Sept. 4.
