Montague, July 15

12:05 p.m. — Jamie S. Matosky, 24, of G Street was arrested on a probation warrant after being stopped at or around his home. 

Greenfield, July 16

3:09 p.m. — A male left his apartment, in the Winslow Building, unlocked for several hours while out with his girlfriend. When he came back, he found several items were stolen. Police will follow up with building management and the Housing Authority to examine security footage. 

Montague, July 16

6:17 a.m. — A couch was illegally dumped in front of a Fifth Street and Avenue A building. Department of Public Works was advised. 

9:22 p.m. — A tree behind a utility pole caught fire after reportedly being struck by lightning. 

Montague, July 17

9:16 a.m. — A fight was reported with one person sustained facial injuries. The caller reported the assailant was still on scene in a vehicle. Police responded to the scene and advised both parties appear to have contributed to the fight. Both parties refused medical treatment and police advised them of their options. Officers reported property was removed without incident. There was a summons issued for one individual.

12:07 p.m. — Localized street flooding was reported due to a clogged storm drain. The DPW responded and addressed the issue.

Greenfield, July 19

6:11 p.m. — A report of a stolen motor vehicle near Phyllis Lane. 

6:20 p.m. — A male was reported to have been knocking on doors asking for money in the area of Congress Street. He was gone on arrival of police. 

Greenfield, July 20

12:51 a.m. — An apparent overdose of a man who was found by a passerby behind a building and near a generator off of Arch Place. Empty heroin bags were found around him. MedCare responded but the person later become responsive and did not need transport. 

7:08 a.m. — A male was digging up the new fields around Norwood Street while using his metal detector. An individual asked him to leave but was reportedly threatened. Police told the digger that he cannot do that right now. 

Greenfield, July 21

2:10 p.m. — A car with a for sale sign in it was reported to be in a strange spot on Norwood Street. Police are investigating. 

11 p.m. — A driver reported people throwing rocks at cars passing by the Washington and Deerfield streets area. 

Greenfield, July 22

12:25 a.m. — Police received a report that someown was shining a laser at vehicles as they passed by the Federal Street area around the AT&T Store. 

11:50 a.m. — A Hayes Street resident reported a neighbor’s dog keeps using his property as a bathroom. He has asked his neighbor to put her dog on a leash but she reportedly has refused. Animal Control was contacted. 

6:47 p.m. — A vehicle was reportedly broken into in the area of Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
