GILL — Residents will be able to vote for nine government and four school committee positions in this year’s annual town election.
Gill will hold its annual polling May 21 at the fire station at 196 Main Road from noon to 8 p.m.
John R. Ward is running for re-election for a three-year Selectboard and as sewer commissioner.
Isaac A. Bingham is seeking election for a three-year term as town moderator.
Joan L. Pillsbury is seeking re-election for a three-year cemetery commissioner seat, and Shirley E. Flagg is running for the two-year cemetery commissioner position.
Roger L. Augustine is running for a three-year term as tree warden.
Randy P. Crochier is seeking re-election for a three-year Board of Health seat.
Kimber Sprankle is seeking another three-year term as library trustee.
Lynda Hodson Mayo is seeking re-election to a three-year term as town clerk.
There is also a vacant spot open for a three-year assessor term, but no residents have announced their intentions to run for this post.
In addition to voting for town office candidates, qualified voters will be able to choose candidates for the Gill-Montague Regional School Committee. One Gill seat and three Montague seats are open. Registered voters from Gill and Montague vote for School Committee candidates from both communities.
Valeria “Timmie” Smith is seeking re-election to the three-year seat as a Gill representative, and Robert Whitter is running against her.
In Montague, four candidates are running for two three-year seats for school committee. The candidates are: Heather Poirier, Jennifer Lively, Haley Anderson and Christopher Pinardi. Running for a one-year school committee seat in Montague are Mike Langknecht, incumbent, and Joyce Phillips.
